A Personal Journey That Guides My Work

My experiences with loss shape how I support your healing.

My Story

My work is deeply rooted in personal experience. I lost my cat, my dog, and then my husband, Pierre, within a short span of time. His passing, along with his life as a military veteran, gave me a deeper understanding of grief, trauma, and the challenges many families quietly carry.

Life Experiences That Shaped Me

Grief has shown up in many forms throughout my life. I've experienced childhood trauma, major life transitions, divorce, and the emotional toll of caregiving for a loved one with dementia. Each experience brought its own layer of loss, change, and healing.

Finding the Right Support

I learned that time alone doesn't heal grief. After trying different forms of support, I found the Grief Recovery Method®. It gave me practical tools to process what I was carrying-and it truly changed my life. That's what led me to become an Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®.

My Professional Perspective

  • Before this work, I spent 30 years in retail leadership. I understand how hard it is to carry personal loss while managing everyday responsibilities.

  • Many people are expected to return to work quickly, without the space to process what they’re going through.

  • This awareness shapes how I support others, with patience and understanding.
